Changsha Customs led the revision of the international standard "Lide Powder General Requirements and Test Methods", which was recently voted through the final draft international standard of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and will be officially released. According to Changsha Customs, this is the first time that this international standard has been revised in the past 40 years. The latest research results in the field of Lide powder have been applied in China, which has substantially promoted the transformation of Chinese standards into international standards.

According to reports, Lide powder is widely used in coatings, plastics, chemical and other industries. The export volume of Lide powder in China accounts for about 80% to 90% of global trade, and Hunan Province is the main source. In 2018, Hunan Province exported 3830.1 tons of Lide powder, accounting for 28.6% of the country's total exports, ranking first in the country.

The person in charge of the standard revision——Xingsha Customs expert Chen Yong introduced that the ISO standard is generally used as the basis for foreign exchange settlement in international trade. The original Lide powder international standard was released in 1982. In recent years, Lide powder's product specifications, technical processes and testing methods Both of them have greatly improved. The original standard obviously cannot meet the demand. Especially the new specifications of Lide powder products have caused great controversy in the classification and taxation of the customs of the international trade parties, which has hindered the export of Lide powder products in China.

Chen Yong told reporters that with the vigorous promotion of China, the ISO organization initiated the revision of the Lidefen International Standard in February 2017. This work was led by Changsha Customs and adopted the national standard Lidefen (GB / T1707 -2012, jointly revised by Changsha Customs and Changzhou Coatings and Chemical Research Institute) Proposed as a blueprint. During the revision process of more than two years, through technical exchanges and communication from various parties, it passed the ISO / TC256 “Pigments, Dyes and Constitution Pigments” technical committee. Three votes were finally passed. After the release of this standard, it provided a clear basis for the customs classification and taxation of the new specifications of Lide powder, which helped reduce trade disputes and made China's Lide powder products export more smoothly.
