"Setting rules" for international peers, China takes the lead in revising international standards for paint powder

Changsha Customs led the revision of the international standard "Lide Powder General Requirements and Test Methods", which was recently voted through the final draft international standard of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and will be officially released. According to Changsha Customs, this is the first time that this international standard has been revised in the past 40 years. The latest research results in the field of Lide powder have been applied in China, which has substantially promoted the transformation of Chinese standards into international standards.

Recently, four compulsory national standards, including the Limits of Hazardous Substances in Building Wall Coatings, the Limits of Hazardous Substances in Wood Coatings, the Limits of Hazardous Substances in Vehicle Coatings, and the Limits of Hazardous Substances in Industrial Protective Coatings, were sought for comments. It is reported that the implementation date of the four standard recommendations is July 2020.
